Chris Davidson, an Australian surfer, was attacked outside a bar and died at the age of 45.
On Saturday night, Davidson was in a bar in South West Rocks, New South Wales, when the incident took place.
He hit his head on the concrete after getting assaulted outside the building.
First responders found Davidson unresponsive, and a little while later, he passed away at a hospital.
A 42-year-old man was detained in relation to Davidson's passing.
