Getting ready to send humans back to the moon: Artemis-1 Moon mission

With its lunar mission Artemis, the US space agency NASA is getting ready to return people to the moon for the first time in over 50 years.

Technical difficulties prevented NASA from launching the mission on Aug. 29 and Sept. 3, therefore it will launch on September 27.

Artemis-1, the mission's initial test flight, will launch from Florida's Space Coast.

Unmanned mission Artemis-1. With the first mission, researchers hope to determine if astronauts can safely operate in the lunar environment.

According to NASA, the Orion crew capsule and the new Space Launch System (SLS) Megarocket will reach the Moon.

It will take the capsule 42 days, 3 hours, and 20 minutes to complete this mission.

A total distance of 20 lakh 92 thousand 147 kilometres would be covered by the spaceship.
