On Monday, a 7.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Mexico's west coast.

ironically on the day when two other significant earthquakes that had shook the nation years before occurred.

The 1:05 p.m. earthquake was not immediately reported to have caused any significant damage.

A wall that fell at a mall in the port city of Manzanillo, Colima, claimed one life.

Within around 200 miles of the earthquake's epicentre, the U.S. Tsunami Warning Center warned that a tsunami might occur along portions of the Mexican coastline.

However, according to Weather.com, there was no concern for the U.S. West Coast, which includes California and Hawaii.
